Glitter Art Work - Talented Tuesday

I have one piece of unique and creative artwork in my house.  Everything else is store bought.  I love things handmade and wanted to add more handmade artwork to my home.  I love glitter but have not ever worked with it much.  I went to my local dollar stores in hopes of finding glitter.  All I found was glitter pins.  It worked great but I can't wait to try this technique with just glitter and glue.  The glitter will fill in much better I think.  It will, however, take a bit longer to complete as I'll have to allow for drying time after each color glitter that I apply.

Anyway, I've completed 2 pieces so far and I'm very pleased with how they turned out.

I let this dry over night and then put it in a $2 frame that I bought at Dollar General.  My favorite part of this picture is the bird.  I was a bit intimidated by him at first (glitter pens are not easy to work with) but I love, love, love how he turned out.
This next piece I completed this morning and it's still drying so I don't have it framed yet.  I can't wait until it dries and I'm able to hang both frames in my home.  It really won't be worth it though.  I've removed all of the stuff on our apartment walls since we'll be moving in a couple of months.
I'll still hang them to take a picture for the end result.  The color of this one didn't turn out as good in the picture.  I still think I need to do some touch ups to the tree trunk and the grassy area.

Thanks for stopping by, Heather. I did the touch ups on the last one and it turned out nicely. I'll take some pictures of it soon.
