I have been on a roll lately making this cute little things.
I think this one is my favorite. Instead of the constant circle shapes in the middle I did a square and a pin wheel. I really like how it turned out.
This one is full of recycled materials. The book page in the back of course, a pretty flower image that I cut out of an old magazine, another book page, a luffa I had laying around and some fabric from an old makeup bag. I love the button I found in my SMALL stash.
I love the look of burlap but have none on hand. I found a Starbucks advertisement in a magazine and the background looked like burlap! I cut it out and used it for this paper flower. LOVE! <3
This is the most colorful one of them all.
I was attempting to make a notebook cover following By Small Means directions. I found this about a week ago and decided this would be the craft that we did at the Crafty Gathering for June. I don't sew... much (or well) so I wanted to see if it was possible to do a no sew version. I picked up the fusible stuff at Walmart today and some $1 fabric. After 2 attempts so far, I'm not having much luck. I'm not giving up yet though. I'm learning a lot. Needless to say I had a lot of wasted left over fabric that I just refused to let go to waste. It was fabric that had been fused and was thick and it had my mind going. All I could think of was flowers. LOL! What can I say I've got flowers of all kinds on my mind. Here's what I did.
I also tie dyed some napkins tonight while making cup cakes so I add that into these fabric flowers for some extra texture.
