I love that August is my birthday month. I love pestering my husband (did you buy my gift yet? is my gift in the house already? where's my gift?). I love that this is the month we go on a beach vacation!

I like the month of August because it is a time of slowing down and savoring life a little more. Our family begins wind down with school
beginning and spend more quality time together at home. Also, I am not a big fan of hot weather, so
August means to me that Fall is coming and all of the fun holidays.

I love that it is finally getting closer to fall. I am not a summer kind of person, and the cool crisp air and changing leaves (along with the relief from teh heat) make the transition from summer to winter so much sweeter.
