Bird House Wind Chime

The inspiration:
I found this one over at A Very Country Christmas by Veronica.  She's got a lot of great creations and it's not just Christmas stuff.  Check her out!

My creation:

It all began with "Dollar Alley" at the Gwinnett Place Mall with the unfinished round wood bird house for $4.00.  A bit over priced in my opinion for a dollar store, but I loved the bird house!  The next day I made a visit to the Dollar Tree (the BIG one on the west side of town) and found this gorgeous wind chime, the acrylic paints (just like Veronica used), and the butterfly wall stickers.  I already had one of the hooks and screwed it into the bottom to hang the chime.  I was very impressed with how it turned out.  I only wish the colors on the house matched the colors of the butterfly chime a bit more.  I may still do some touch ups to it in the future to make it more like I'd like.

I hope you don't mind but I am going to put your featured button on my birdhouse web page.

You are very welcome Veronica. Yours had more of a country feel, which I was kinda hoping for (as this would have been a gift for my grandmother) but I couldn't find the right kind of wind chime. I was still very please with it. And NO! I don't mind at all. That's what it's there for.
