Woot Woot Busy Busy

Crazy title... yes, I know.  Friday, I received a phone call from the leasing office manager of our apartment complex... she wants us to move out early because she needs a 2 bedroom apartment.  She needs it pretty fast... like WEDNESDAY fast.  She will give us 1/2 our rent back if we are able to do this.  So, I said YES!  We were ready to get out anyway.

So much for my one box/bag a day challenge.  HAHA, now it's more like "PACK EVERYTHING NOW!".  I've been tossing, packing, pulling nails, filling nail holes, cleaning bathrooms, all while trying to keep my 6.5 month old happy.  I'm lucky to have such a wonderful mother and mother in law.  They both came over Saturday and we were able to get a lot done while juggling that little bundle of energy.

We have a lot to get done so there will probably not be any post for the next few days.  I will leave you with something I found tonight that is totally and completely inspirational!

You know I've been on a cupcake kick lately.  Look what I found.

"Could a single cupcake be baked, filled, crumbled, stuffed, frosted, sprinkled, piped, topped and finished?"  Why, of course... Saucy can do it!  You have to check this out.  It's ama-za-za-zing!

I'm so excited... I'M FINALLY MOVING BACK HOME!

Make Me Smile Monday

Boy oh boy, was last week a doozey.  I'm ready to get back to the way things were.  I began that last night.  I made cupcakes and decorated them.  This is my first time experimenting with cake decorating.  I bought a small kit the other night, some vanilla icing, and some food coloring.  I think if I decide to continue experimenting with this I'll continue using the store bought icing and such until I get the technique down pat, then I'll test out making my own icing.

I was experimenting with letters.  This is something I need to work on.
Different techniques.  I couldn't figure out what color icing I wanted after the pink.

It started out yellow, then I added a little green, then I added lots of blue.  I wasn't happy with the color but I'll have to plan a little better next time.

Things around the crafty blogosphere that make me smile!

Sarah @ Thrifty Decor Chick gives us an awesome idea for what to do with a big empty wall.

Linda @ Craftaholics Anonymous made this awesome zipper necklace.  I love how it's interchangeable with other beads.
Lindsey @ Inspiring Creations gives a great tutorial on creating this cute little Mod Podge Bird House with Frame.

I'm really looking forward to completing some crafty projects this week.
